East Village, Stratford (The Olympic Park)
EV Charging Solution for one of the UK’s Largest Build to Rent Sites
Electric Spinach collaborated with Get Living to deliver an end-of-trip EV Charging platform for a very engaged community of Electric Vehicle owners. East Village offers 37x EV Chargers across a number of residential plots. With such a strong demand for EV Charging across the site, future introductions of additional management functionality, such as pre-booking of sessions and user-subscriptions will likely be introduced to ensure an optimum level of user-efficiency is maintained, to maximise the use of the existing EV Charging Points.

Safety Features
Ongoing planned maintenance and servicing in place with NAPIT accredited contractors.
Arrangements in place for reactive maintenance and user reported unit damage via software.
Residual current device (RCD) in place to automatically separate the charging station from the electrical power supply in case of a ground fault.
Inbuilt RCD and PEN device in units.
Surge protection.
Individually isolated.
BS7671 complaint.
Charging units are equipped with powerful protection designed to trip the circuit in the event of any faults occurring and provide isolation to prevent faults from causing dangerous voltages in the charging cable.
Integrated Type B residual current device trips the circuit breaker if there is an earthing fault in the vehicle or charging cable. Integrated 6mA DC protection and requires an external Type A residual current device.
The charging unit performs calibration and self-testing before each charging session. The residual current device is reset automatically by disconnecting the charging plug.
There are also several internal temperature sensors that monitor the internal temperature and turn off charging if the charging unit detects a problem.
